The Challenge

NPS is currently seeking to expand its fixed income credit research functions based in New York with the addition of an experienced candidate (s) at Senior Associate to Vice President Level to the New York office. The successful candidate will be tasked with covering global fixed income credit markets.

Job Description

·         Work closely with senior analyst and PM with due diligence and analysis of corporate bonds across all industries

·         Analyse corporate fixed income investment opportunities and communicate Buy/Sell/Hold investment recommendations to PM

·         Actively monitor existing portfolio assets

·         Build and maintain detailed company financial models on current and potential investments

·         Review company filings, transcripts, quarterly results and industry trade publications

·         Conduct extensive company and industry due diligence, interact with management teams, industry sources and sell-side analysts, and attend conferences and company site visits

·         Carry out other relevant tasks assigned by senior analyst, PM, and Head of the office

Requirements/Qualifications

·         4-7 years of progressive experience at a top-tier financial services firm with experience in Investment Grade Fixed Income. High Yield experience will also be accepted

·         Advanced knowledge of accounting and finance and exceptional financial modelling skills

·         Highly motivated team player, with strong work ethic attention to detail

·         Ability to do deep dive analysis on company and credit opportunities

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Superior academic achievement at a top tier undergraduate program. MBA and / or CFA is ideal.
