                  NPS Wins Gold Prize at the U.S. LACP Vision Awards

            - NPS internationally recognized for its CSR -

 

¡à The National Pension Service (NPS), chaired by Choi Kwang, announced on February

25 that its 2014 corporate social responsibility (CSR) report has been chosen for the

gold prize award in the areas of CSR and sustainable management at the 2013/14 Vision

Awards hosted by the LACP, a world-renowned marketing research firm.

 

¡Û The LACP Vision Awards is one of the world¡¯s most-acknowledged competition programs

and selects the best annual reports from those of world-leading businesses including

Fortune 500 companies, governments and non-profit organizations. This awarding event

is participated by a thousand organizations from about twenty countries every year.

 

         ¡Ø LACP (League of American Communications Professionals)

               A globally-competent U.S. marketing research firm that was established in 2001 and has over

               30,000   subscribers to its monthly newsletters

 

¡à The NPS¡¯s report gained perfect scores in six out of eight criteria, namely delivery,

content of financial report and message clarity and overall scored 98 over 100.

* First impression, message to interest groups, delivery, financial report,

  creativity,message clarity, information approachability and cover design

 

 ¡Û The NPS also ranked twenty-fifth among a thousand organizations from worldwide in

 general assessment and was the only pension fund to be awarded the ¡°Top 50 Annual

 Reports Worldwide¡±.

 

 ¡Û The LACP explained that the NPS¡¯s report was far more excellently written, with

 contents being well-organized, compared to those of its competitors.

 

¡à The pension operator joined the UN Global Compact, a voluntary international

 arrangement on social responsibility, in 2012 and has published its CSR report

 annually. It has been committed to promoting social values in pursuing sustainable

 management.

 

¡à Responding to the award, Chairman Choi said that ¡°the NPS is now internationally

 recognized for its excellence in corporate social responsibility.¡± He also said that his

 organization will ¡°establish itself as a socially-responsible organization in all areas

 including human rights, labor, environment, anti-corruption and growth partnership.¡±
